EASTER DUTY

We remind the faithful of their responsibility to receive Holy Communion during the Easter Time and to go to confession at least once a year. This very minimal duty is a mark of one’s devotion to his Catholic Faith and is a serious obligation, binding under pain of mortal sin. The Easter Time in the United States begins on the First Sunday of Lent and concludes with Trinity Sunday—a period of 14 weeks.
